The answer was a telescopic conveyor with a final section that articulates downward. This lets it reach the floor of low vehicles as easily as it extends into long trailers. At DPD’s Birmingham site, it cut unloading times from over 3.5 hours to just 1.5. That’s a huge improvement in throughput, with far less labour required. It’s now one of our most requested solutions.
