SOVEX – SINCE 1939
Material Handling Specialists
Sovex initially founded in 1939 and since then known for engineering and producing belted systems. More recently the Telescopic Boom conveyer.
We have been producing vehicle loaders (telescopic conveyors) under the Sovex brand for more than 40 years. With recent departures of ownership from Transnorm and Honeywell we are now able to supply all our products directly to the market under our new VeyorEX brand as part of the Solvest group. This enables us to offer the complete process of design, manufacture, installation, service and support in a much more flexible and competitive way to our customers.
WHAT WE DO
Decades of Engineering. One Clear Direction.
From our 1939 origins to the 2025 VeyorEx rebrand, we’ve evolved through innovation, partnership, and global growth, all with a singular focus: building smarter, faster ways to move parcels.
1939 - Inception
The company's origins date back to 1939, marking the beginning of a legacy in industrial design and engineering. Though the Sovex brand emerged decades later, this year represents the foundation of the business's long-standing commitment to manufacturing excellence and problem-solving in the material handling sector - a tradition that would eventually lead to Sovex’s specialisation in vehicle loaders.
2002 – Moved to Prenton
In 2002, Sovex Systems Ltd was founded in the Wirral by David Lindfield. The business established its head office and production site in Prenton, launching as a refurbisher of vehicle loaders before developing its own conveyor solutions. This move laid the groundwork for Sovex’s rise as a trusted UK manufacturer of telescopic conveyors, setting the tone for years of innovation and customer-driven engineering
2011 – Production in Hemtech Bosnia
To expand capacity and serve Europe more cost-effectively, Sovex began production in Bosnia through its partner Hemtech in 2011. This international manufacturing footprint helped Sovex scale operations while maintaining build quality. Hemtech would later become part of the Solvest Group, creating a deep connection between Sovex’s legacy products and the company’s future under new ownership.
2015 – Transnorm Takeover
Sovex was acquired by German firm Transnorm in 2015. Known for its conveyor modules and airport systems, Transnorm saw Sovex as a strategic complement to its portfolio. The deal kept Sovex’s leadership in place and opened global distribution channels. It marked the beginning of Sovex’s integration into a wider automation group, boosting its presence in parcel logistics worldwide.
2018 – Honeywell Takeover
Following Transnorm’s acquisition by Honeywell in 2018, Sovex became part of Honeywell Intelligrated’s global warehouse automation platform. Although its name was less visible during this period, Sovex’s telescopic conveyor designs remained active within Honeywell projects. The brand’s innovations continued to serve major parcel clients as part of broader logistics systems.
2022 – Sovex Independent under Solvest
In 2022, Sovex re-emerged as a focused, independent brand. Honeywell licensed the conveyor technology to Solvest Group, enabling Sovex Systems Ltd to relaunch with full design and manufacturing rights. Backed by Solvest, Sovex returned to the market with a clear mission: to lead in parcel handling innovation, renew key partnerships, and build on its legacy.
2025 – Sovex becomes VeyorEx
The new VeyorEX brand name signals a sharper focus on Global vehicle loading solutions while building on decades of Sovex engineering expertise. This rebrand supports an updated strategy under Solvest, aiming to build brand recignition, expand internationally and position VeyorEX as a bold, agile leader in vehicle loading solutions.
